Templates
Share a well-built Agent as a template, in its Sharing tab, and start new Agents from it in your organization and its sub-tenants - with the instructions, variables and voice settings already in place.
A template is an Agent others can start from. Once an Agent works well, share it as a template: new Agents created from it begin with the same instructions and settings, and only need their own details. This is useful when you set up similar Agents for many customers, or want every team to start from a proven setup.
Share an Agent as a template
Open the Sharing tab
Open the Agent and go to its Sharing tab.
Switch on Share as Template
Switch on Share as Template. The Agent can now be used as a template in your organization and in all its sub-tenants and customers.
Describe it
Write a short Description: what the Agent does, who it is for, and anything important to know. It is shown when people choose a template.
Save
Click Save.
The template stays a normal, working Agent: sharing it doesn't change how it answers. Switch Share as Template off again to stop offering it; Agents already created from it are not affected.
Create an Agent from a template
Start a new Agent
Click New Agent in the menu and choose Use Template.
Pick a template
Browse or search the templates and pick one. You see the templates of your own organization and of the organizations above it, each with its description and the organization it comes from.
Name it
The name starts as the template's. Give the new Agent its own name and create it.
The new Agent is a Draft with its own copy of the template's settings, so changing it never changes the template, and later changes to the template don't reach it.
What is copied
| Copied from the template | Not copied: set these up for the new Agent |
|---|---|
| Instructions and description | Phone number |
| Variables and their placeholders | Knowledge bases |
| Model, voice and the Advanced settings | Custom tools |
| Built-in tools: follow-up email, call transfer, end call | Widget settings (the new Agent gets the default widget) |
Widget
Put your Agent on your website as a chat and voice widget. Set where it may run, how it behaves and how it looks, then paste one snippet into your site.
Knowledge
Build knowledge bases from your own documents - FAQs, policies, price lists, manuals - so your Agents answer accurately about your business, products and services.
